Planter warts are warts that form on the sole of the foot. Planter wart removal is normally feared because typically the removal process at the doctors office is more painful than having the wart itself. Freezing or cutting the wart off are the normal practise. This article will fill you in on a completely painless procedure that you can perform at home to get rid of your planter wart.
You will need a few items first
- 1 bottle of nail polish, it can be colored or colorless it’s up to you and it doesn’t matter the brand
- A towel
- soap and water
- Blow dryer
Time for the removal process. Wash your foot completely, using nice warm soapy water. Be sure to get the area with the wart very well.
Dry the foot completely. Using a towel normally doesn’t completely dry your foot, so use the blow dryer to finish the job.
Shake the bottle of nail polish (unless you used clear then you don’t have to).
Paint the wart and the immediately surrounding area. Ensure that the wart is completely covered with the nail polish.
Dry the polish. The hair dryer on low setting will help speed this process up a bit for you. The polish has to be completely dry before you walk on it, or cover it with a sock.
Leave the nail polish on the wart for a few days. The polish will cut off the oxygen supply going to the planter wart. This is why covering the wart entirely with the nail polish is vital. After a few days up to a week, the wart should fall off on it’s own.
Planter wart removal doesn’t have to be a scary painful process, you just have to know what to do.
