AXIS-Y Spot the Difference Blemish Treatment | Acne Spot Gel (15ml)
Not the Rest of Your Skin.
What It Is
Most spot treatments pick one lane: either they dry out the blemish and leave a flaky, irritated ring around it, or they're too gentle to actually do anything. AXIS-Y Spot The Difference splits the difference on purpose. It pairs 4-Terpineol — the specific antibacterial compound tea tree oil is valued for — with AHA and BHA to clear congestion, then buffers the whole thing with 2% niacinamide, Centella, and bursting Ceramide capsules so the surrounding skin barrier isn't collateral damage. A lightweight gel, not a paste. Built for acne-prone, oily, and sensitive skin specifically.
The 6+1+1 Formula — Why This Isn't a One-Trick Spot Stick
What's Actually Doing the Work
The specific compound responsible for tea tree's antibacterial and antioxidant reputation — isolated and concentrated rather than relying on whole tea tree oil, which can be irritating at high concentrations. It targets the bacteria and inflammation behind active blemishes directly at the site of application.
A combined acid approach: AHA works on the skin's surface to clear dead skin cells and smooth texture, while BHA is oil-soluble and can get down into the pore itself to clear the congestion that turns into a blemish in the first place. Together they address both existing spots and the buildup that leads to new ones.
Included at a gentler concentration than AXIS-Y's brightening-focused products, specifically because this formula is layering it alongside active exfoliating acids. It helps regulate oil production and calm redness without adding to the irritation potential of the AHA/BHA combination.
Microcapsules that burst on contact with skin, releasing ceramide directly where it's needed. This is the formula's answer to the "drying spot treatment" problem — it's actively replenishing barrier lipids in the same step that's treating the blemish, rather than treating and stripping in two separate, conflicting steps.
AXIS-Y's proprietary plant-derived complex, combining hollyhock flower and aloe vera extracts to deliver lightweight hydration that won't clog pores or feel heavy — critical for a spot treatment that needs to work on oily, breakout-prone areas without adding to congestion.

What to Expect — Results Timeline
*Timeline reflects reported use patterns and will vary by individual skin type, blemish severity, and consistency of use. This product treats the appearance of blemishes and is not a substitute for dermatologist-directed acne treatment for persistent or severe acne.
How To Use
Best used in the evening as a targeted final step, not layered under other treatment serums.
AHA/BHA exfoliating acids increase photosensitivity — daily sunscreen is essential the morning after use.
Skip layering this with Vitamin C, Retinol, or additional AHA/BHA products in the same routine to avoid over-exfoliating and irritating the skin barrier.
- Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner arm and wait 24 hours before using on active facial blemishes, especially for sensitive skin.
- Spot-treat only. This is formulated for direct, targeted application — using it as an all-over treatment increases irritation risk without added benefit.
- Discontinue if irritation occurs. Stop use and consult a doctor if redness, itching, burning, or swelling develops.
- SPF is not optional the next day. The AHA/BHA in this formula increases sun sensitivity — skipping sunscreen can lead to worse pigmentation than the blemish you were treating.
- Give it time to work. Individual blemishes typically show visible improvement within a few days, but full breakout-prevention benefits build over 1–2 weeks of consistent use.
