What It Is
ETUDE Soon Jung Whip Cleanser is a pre-aerated foam facial cleanser formulated for sensitive, reactive, and easily-irritated skin. It dispenses already whipped into a soft, dense foam — no foam net, no working it up between your hands — so skin contact time and friction stay low from the first touch. Built on a short, deliberately minimal ingredient list centered on Panthenol and Madecassoside, it cleanses without leaving the tight, stripped feeling that follows most foaming cleansers.
Why It's Different
- Most foaming cleansers sit around pH 9–10 — alkaline enough to disrupt the skin's naturally acidic barrier with every wash, which is a large part of why cleansing so often leaves skin feeling tight or reactive afterward.
- This one is formulated at pH 6.5 — close to skin's own slightly acidic range — so it cleanses without pushing the barrier into the same alkaline shock.

How To Use
- Double cleanse at night: use an oil or balm cleanser first to break down SPF and makeup, then follow with this as your water-based second step.

- Skip the hot water. Lukewarm water alone preserves more of the barrier benefit this formula is built around.
- Pair with the rest of the Soon Jung line (toner, serum, cream) if your skin is actively reactive — the line is formulated to layer without conflicting actives.
- Don't over-cleanse. Twice daily is enough; more frequent washing works against what a low-pH formula is trying to protect.
